EDUARDO UMAÑA MENDOZA
Eduardo Umaña was the first lawyer with the will to help the families of the missing persons of the Palace of Justice Siege. On April 1995, he was murdered in his office by a woman and two men who entered to his office. His secretary was tied while the crime was committed. She declared that these persons had visited the advocate one week before. His wife, son, secretary and two students that were making the internships in his office, had to exit the country exiled because of violent threats.
The following space is dedicated to the families and persons affected from this case. This is a jointly construction of Memory where we try to fill the absence through pictures, letters and other memories provided directly from the victims in order to do not let extinguish their memory.
